Photographer and photographee!

Wanting to show off two things: Tara's amazing photography skills, and what a lovely Bride to be, Kylee is! We can't show any full length pictures yet of Kylee for fear that Clinton will maybe see some before they are married. He is very adamant about that. I guess he just wants to be dazzled on the wedding day, which I think is very sweet! Tara amazes me each time I look at her work. This is just a tiny showing of Wow! (to be published later)

They are so happy!

Kylee and her fiance Clinton got all of their engagements done last weekend. Don't know which picture or pictures they are picking out for their announcements. Kylee is in charge of getting that done. I am posting two of my favorites out of all that Tara took. Let me just say once again, how great of a photographer I have in my daughter. Way to go Clinton, Kylee, and Tara!

Romantic gondola ride
Our darling nice nice Gondoleer, sang to us a beautiful Italian song, but the best part is that she actually was from Italy. Her name was Pia
One of the other Gondoleers, bringing in one of the gondolas
The beautiful canal shops. This may be the closest I ever get to Italy. There is one place I would love to travel to, if I could go
anywhere on earth it would be to Italy!

This week at Phantom and Venetian!

For Christmas and my Birthday, Todd got tickets to Phantom and paid for one night at the Venetian, where the Phantom plays most nights of the week. I have wanted to see 'Phantom of the Opera' live, since 1992 when Micheal Crawford was the phantom. Well, it was fabulous
and wonderful, and we had front row seats! That was the icing on the cake after stepping into our Luxury suite that we did not order. After the show we ate at one of the Restaurants in the Venetian. Thanks to my Sweetheart for the great present. It won't happen for a along time, we have another wedding to pay for!
Life at the Venetian!
Looking back at the entryway of our Sweet Suite! It had two bathrooms, 3 flat screens, a fax machine and scanner, a bar, loaded with goodies. (of which we did not partake) phones in each bathroom. (did not have that one figured out) a vanity with light up makeup mirror. I just had to use that. 2 large closets and very nice furnishings
Looking into the bedroom, from the dining area.
Looking into the larger bathroom off the bedroom. Big beautiful jacuzzi tub and large walk in shower.
below is the view out one of the windows. We just kept laughing, because we paid for a regular room.

Easter and Ty's Birthday
Ty's Birthday quite often comes during the Clark County Fair, and at least one other time I remember it being on Easter Sunday. I had to visit the fair grounds unfortunately for a couple of hours on Easter,
after attending church. We wanted to do something for Ty's Birthday, as soon as I got home. I fixed one of his favorite meals (poppy seed chicken, and Askeroth family favorite)and threw in a small ham Kelli helped too with dinner! Jacob and Kelli dyed Easter eggs while I was gone and we ate when I got home and saved Cake and Ice cream for later on. I can't believe my baby boy is 16.

Fair week!
Well the Fair has come and gone again. I managed the Midway stage once again, with scheduling of participants back in Jan. and Feb. It can be a grueling 4 day experience. This year Saturday was particularly hard, because it rained all day and the stage roof leaked, so there was flooding in back of the curtain, and all over the backstage. Too many kids, and pageant entrants trying to keep dry and no way to clean it up. we managed to get through it. I enlisted the help of one of my friends this year, so I did not have to be there every second. (Julie Masters) thanks so much to her for all her help! Here are some pictures of the fair and some of my family members who came for the fair. Breya was called up on stage to help the Curly Blond Haired Magician. Jacob and Kelli came also! We had fun watching some other performances on the big plaza stage too!

Hospital stay for Afton
Our sweet little Afton spent 5 nights and 5 days in the hospital with infections in her Kidneys and pnemonia. poor little girl, I think she thought that must be her new home away from her sisters and in a small room with Mommy and Daddy, and having to be stay in bed.
We drove to St. George, Utah to see her Tuesday April 7th and take her a gift and Balloon. She was starting to get visitors who were
bringing some fun stuff, and that was cheering her up a bit. She got a play dr's kit from Grammy and Pa Pa. We love you Afton.

Judging at the fair!
On Tuesday April 7th, my good friend Camille Leavitt and (Mother-in-law to Tara), and I judged the scrapbooking and other things in the Fine arts building at the Clark County Fair. We do this every year. This year we had a lot more scrapbooking entered and it took a lot longer to get the judging done. We always have fun doing this together. We even got some ideas that we want to try.

Personality Plus
Photo Sharing - Video Sharing - Photo Printing
I have been trying to post this one over and over. Little Caleb has the most charming little personality. I recently spent some time with Isaac, Tiffany and Caleb in Cedar City. It was
so fun for me to see Caleb with some of the same little charming antics as Isaac had when he was
the same age. Caleb loves this silky little half slip that he sleeps with, and when Isaac was this age he had to sleep with one of my silky nightgowns. I have tried and tried to post a cute video of his charm, but have failed at least 3 times. I think it is my computer. I have given up this time and will just post these pictures instead! NOTE: Okay, I finally got this video to post thanks to Tiffany and her excellent computer skills. Each time she comes, she sets me up with something new and teaches me lots.

The perfect dress!
This was the 4th time I have had this experience and the last time, with daughter number four. It is a fun experience doing this with the girls. I made Elliah's dress back in 2001, but we still went to the bridal store and tried on dresses. Kylee looked so darling, and we actually bought the one she had already picked out. I did not show it in full length, so as to keep the suspense alive. We don't want her fiance' Clinton by chance seeing her until the wedding day in her special dress.
Love this girl, I can't believe our baby girl is getting married, but this is just what she has always wanted to do more than anything! I am sure that Clinton knows how lucky he is!
Thought it would be cool to get a little shot of the ring. He sure surprized her with this ring and picked out exactly what she had wanted.

Red letter day March 30th

What a day in the Askeroth family. We found out that Isaac and Tiffany are having a baby girl. (Due in August)
This is especially great news because they have little Caleb, and Tiffany has a really hard time in the first 16 weeks of pregnancy. It was so exciting to see the ultrasound. I am amazed at how everything is so visible. Congratulations to Isaac, Tiffany, and Caleb. I already bought a cute pink dress for the new bundle of joy! Check out Isaac and Tiffany's blog (click on it from my links) to see the great 1st pictures of our sweet little girl. Her tiny feet are so cute!
Also March 30th
This is the 2nd great thing we found out about on March 30th! Kylee is engaged! It happened late Monday night. We are thrilled for her. She has found a very great guy. The thing is, we will have seven of our eight children married. How is that possible. We are not sure exactly when they all grew up. Congratulations to Kylee. We are so happy for you and Clinton, but Mom's head is swimming! This is the only picture I have of Kylee's fiance' and it is not to flattering of Ty. I am sure there will be lots more great pictures of all of them to come. They will be getting married June 13th in the St. George Temple.

contact lenses?
I went to the eye doctor on Thursday. I just wanted to be able to see clearly far away.
He put trial contact lenses in my eyes. Before I could see great up close and did not need reading glasses, but was always squinting to see things clearly far away. These are contacts that are worn 24 hours a day and I even sleep with them on.
The pros are:
I can see details in things far away, like never before.
I am not squinting!
Mostly never know they are there.
Don't have to take them in and out.
The cons are:
Need reading glasses for up close now.
When they get too dry, it burns and stings.
Sleeping in them overnight is ok, but in the morning there
is so much dryness, I can't get the solution in there fast enough.
I am not sure which way to go. I don't know if I am to old for contact lenses. But seeing far away is great. I would love your comments on the matter. Maybe there is someone out there that wears extended wear contacts with some ideas.
I am not sure which route to take.
