Part 1 of. . . MY FAVORITE THINGS

I've decided to start a "my Favorite
things" on my blog posts. But wanted to do
it in parts. I have lots of favorites here in
Logandale, and a lot of different
categories of things I am very fond of .




I love my early morning bike rides. . .
I love my digital camera. . .
I love cloudy days in Southern Nevada. . .
I love the coolness of early morning in the summer,
so when I went out early in the morning on June
26, I soon returned for my camera, because the
sky was amazing. Along my bike ride I was able to
capture some other favorites. The sun rays were
coming through the clouds and it was awesome.
What better way to start a new day, than to see
this!

just down the street from me. It
looked like a beautiful watercolor
painting.
I see this and all I
can do is giggle inside at the
wonderful glorious site.

Announcement

just wanted to post something about our little Afton (bubba) and her surgery. It was Monday morning in Primary Childrens' hospital in Salt Lake City, and it went very well. She experienced some pain, that they managed through the night, and she was doing well enough for her to leave the hospital Tues. night, but to only go over to Heber at her other grandparents home. She will be coming home to St. George Thursday night and her whole family will be getting back together on Friday. We are so happy that she is recovering well.

Adventures in H20

Having Cameron and Carys for
longer than a weekend is proving
to be so much fun. We, however
are trying to keep them from getting
bored. Sunday night Pa Pa took the
girls down the street to see the Emus.
He even provided them with their own water bottles and was amazed at how much they did not drink. On their way back Pa Pa thought they
might have fun playing in the sprinklers. Turns
out that kids don't care what they are wearing when an adult tells them to jump right in. Grammy had to get some pictures of this.
We visited the local library and checked
out books and DVDs. We went to the store, went to a wedding reception, church, and set up a water fun
front yard for the girls. They had so much fun in the smallest of pools, and the sprinklers once again, that they were out there for a good hour and half and had as much fun as if they went to a big pool. Grammy made sure that they were plastered with sunscreen and even had Cameron wearing a T-shirt (she already had a sunburn on her back).
I will miss them a lot when they go back home, but I know that their Mom and Dad miss them greatly.

After such a wonderful relaxed day of visiting.
We were shocked to find that our hot water heater had broken to the point of flooding our
basement office, bathroom and hallway. There was water everywhere in those rooms.
We had just returned from Kyle Robertson's wedding reception, and bathed Cameron and Carys
and were settling in with a movie when we discovered the flooding. We all went to work to get
files and everything else out of Todd's office, and called our Home Teacher who is experienced
with this kind of thing and he and his son-in-law rushed over at around 10:30 p.m. and went to work
along with Todd, Jacob and I in trying to get the water up and put a new hot water heater in. We were so
thankful to all of them. Jacob had just pulled up carpet, so he knew how to do it and wow, he had it pulled
out in no time. We are thankful that we had a new hot water heater late Sat. night so that we could have
water the next day to get ready for church. life is interesting and we learned that we should never get to
comfortable, cause you never know what is around the bend!

It is OVER!

Well the reception weekend is over.
we had a lovely reception. Lots of relatives and
family were here. We had a chicken enchilada dinner
before the reception, with about 25 people in our home.
Once again our wonderful neighbors Stace and Paula
Pulsipher helped us haul and set up the cultural hall for
a very pretty reception. The fresh flowers were gorgeous.
I am glad that Kylee wanted fresh. They arrived from costco right to our door, the day before and I cleared out the downstairs refrigerator for a mini floral shop. It is Monday now and they still look great. Grandma Leslie and Grandpa Ron were there as well as Aunt Paige and Steve, Uncle Jess and Larse. Clinton sang his beautiful song he wrote for Kylee again. And, well we had a great time and then we had a gift opening party
afterward back at the house.

On Saturday we had such a good time with family and friends coming and going.
We felt like it was such a wonderful relaxing day of visiting with the pressure gone
from all the wedding hub bub! UNTIL THIS NEXT THING HAPPENED!

Step # 1 this week

Kylee is married! She is Kylee Dowse now.
I can't believe that we have 7 children married.
She picked very well. Clinton sang a beautiful
love song he wrote just for her, at their wedding
dinner in Kanab, Utah. He is so talented on that
guitar, and she cried and cried, because he kept
telling her he would not be singing at all.
They were a beautiful couple, and everything went
according to plan with only 1 little glitch. Kylee was
up in the middle of the night the morning of her
wedding and was throwing up. She managed to get
through the morning with feeling a little better and
then when she saw Clinton in the Temple all was well.
We love you Kylee and Clinton and want to say congra-
tulations!!! I will post some wedding pictures later on!


As I was crashing at a hotel room in Kanab on Saturday
night, the thought that I was not actually done with the
wedding at all came over me and I had a hard time
sleeping. I realized that I had the cake decorating
still ahead of me. I was determined to get to it Mon.
morning. I was hoping it wouldn't take as long to do as the
previous ones I had made (time wise). I am always amazed just how much work it really is to do one of these things. And I use Styrofoam! It was a day long project once again, and it doesn't get any easier the more you do it. I AM
MOST DEFINATELY NOT A PROFESSIONAL, but thanks
to some skills of covering up and hiding, I think I actually pulled off a pretty cake. There were times I was very worried, but I just kept telling myself that it would look better with flowers and ribbon. I sure hope Kylee and Clinton like it! Anyway STEP #1 is done to this reception week! Yeah!

Love this photo! I even took it and edited it too. Not as good as Tara, by a long shot, but I still love this picture of Caleb!

Motorcycle baby!

Caleb has an obsession with motorcycles and his uncle
Micheal does some off road racing and trick riding(I don't know what it is called exactly.
These pictures suggest to me that he is wanting to trick ride already.
Hopefully not until he is older. He is so cute I can't stand it!

Evelyn is one!

Todd called this her little Hitler look.
She wasn't exactly happy with the whole
lot of people watching her, and mommy
wanting her to get into the cake for a photo
opportunity.

There were about 30 people in attendance
to her party. And the party was really to celebrate Trent's birthday too.
Trent's on the 19th, and Evelyn on the 21st. Kelli and
Jacob were not able to be there, and it was Kelli's Birthday the same day
as this party too! happy Birthday to Kelli. She is 20!

Tara has a new do now and we all love it!
