grandkid interaction fun!

We decided to make Brownies and they all got to lick something
They had so much fun with a bin full of pipe cleaners. Aren't they cute kids?
We all found aprons to wear!
Grammy has had so much fun this summer spending time with grandchildren. There is just nothing better than this kind of stuff!Posted by Picasa

Amazing Creative Cam!

We are so lucky to have Cameron (our oldest grandchild) staying with us for about a week. She has been so much fun to watch as she creates in Grammy's craft room. So much at her fingertips. I don't even help her in any way. She just comes up with all of this wonderful paper crafts. And then I got out the box of pipe cleaners and the things she did with that are amazing. She just has all of this inside her. Way to go Cameron. I love you so much! I even got her to give up a couple pieces of her artwork. (It wasn't easy) She also made a wonderful birthday card for Pa Pa. His birthday was on Friday!

Another one has come! (the last one for a while)

Welcome to our newest grandchild, Lyla Jane Leavitt, born on Thursday July 15, and weighed in at 8 lbs. 5 0z. and 20 inches long. I just returned from Provo, where I babysat with Evelyn and helped out with the new baby. Tara had to have another c-section, so needed some extra help. I had many walks in the park, many books to read and many songs to sing to Evelyn. I will miss them all so much, but it was Time for Grammy to come Home!

our 4th of July celebrating

My paper crafted vintage decoration in honor of the 4th, so this is on display probably for the summer months. The postcard in the middle is very old, and the red ribbon is vintage also. Hope all my friends and family had a wonderful 4th of July weekend.
My sister came for the long weekend with two of her daughters. Kinsie who is 11, My sister Margaret, and 15 year old Brinn. we also had Jacob and Kelli for the weekend. Margaret was here for 3 days and 4 nights. We also played many games and watched fireworks, did some projects with the girls, and we were so very lucky that we had great weather for it all.

We made lots of good and nutricious things to eat, but we did make one cake and Kinsie and Kelli made rice krispie treats in the shape of stars.
