Our early morning hike was really fun. We took the dog with us, meaning Ty, Myself, Jacob and Kelli. Walking along the top, see the green valley below. This is our destination. . .to the top Mohawk mountain. We have done this hike many times, and when we get on the actual trail, we find markers from Isaac, Jacob and Ty from years ago. Toby went along and when I sat on the edge of the peak, Toby was wiggin out and was trying to get me from the edge. I kept telling the kids to call him back so I could get up. I'm so glad he likes me and wants to protect me so much, but I was afraid he was going to fall off!

Early Morning hike!

The Narrows passageway
We found a very narrow canyon on the way back from Mohawk Mountain. I am sure it was the nearest one to that Mesa. I wanted Kelli to experience one of these canyons, as it is one of many that exist behind our home in Logandale. We found many owl pellets deep into the passageway, which is like a big labyrinth and a big adventure, because you don't know what lies ahead. Sometimes you have to climb down some big rocks and sometimes you
almost feel like you are in a cave.

New Layouts
The reason for posting these here on this blog is simple. From Picasa they automatically went into my personal blog instead of my creative 'something special blog.' I will put them in there as well and even some more. After the wedding I have had a chance, on some of those really hot and you are stuck inside all day times, or opportunity to catch up on layouts that I already started or layouts I was working on for the Memory Makers Magazine Masters contest, which will not be happening now because the Magazine is shutting down. This is Magazine which I was published with, so I am kind of sad about it. "Paradise Life". . . was done for the 'My life is' layout that the contest was asking for,
I would not have done this layout for myself, but I guess it is a little bit like letting my posterity know more about me.
This one is called "Carys and the Talent Sprouts" her performance recital with her pre-school
her personality is just to cute and these pictures describe it perfectly.
"Afton and the Labyrinth" This picture and the two following on the next layout are to me really
great from my daughter in law, Courtney Askeroth She does a very good job with this affect.

New on Something Special
Hey, I have just posted more stuff or pages, on my creative blog "Something Special" Click on it from my link list below. I wanted to enter the Memory Maker's Master's contest but just as I had completed all assignments I went to the online forum and found out that the magazine is shutting down, after the Sept./Oct. issue. So there will not be any magazine in which to announce to have a National contest. I just felt like I wanted them online somewhere. Thank heaven's for the blogging world. Some of these layouts are some that I would have entered. Remember to Click on 'Something Special'

Life after weddings!
What have I been doing since the weddings have been done and over with.
1. Staying in Logandale! With a couple of exceptions!
2. Morning bike rides. (love this so much)
3. Designing more sets for Storytellers Club.
4. Painting rooms after the flood, getting ready for baseboards.
5. Picking out new carpet for the basement.
6. Catching up on unfinished scrapbooking.
7. Taught myself how to fix bike flats.
8. Planned our trip up to Washington, Montana and Idaho!
Hold on. It is the panhandle area of Idaho so Washington
and Montana are all within 70 miles or so.
9. Speaking in Church about the Pioneers.
10. RELAXING!

a promised post

some of the professional photos
done of Jacob and Kelli on their
wonderful wedding day back on
Feb. 19, 2009. In all fairness to
them, they need a little more spot
light, because my blog really did
not do them justice before.
Kelli was a stunning bride with her
unique wedding dress (so pretty)
brown sash and beautiful broach
attached just below the waist.
Jacob chose very well, and we love Kelli. I can tell that they will be one of the great
couples. Jacob always said he was more attracted to brunettes. But there is so much more to Kelli for sure!

I loved this picture of the little
girls. We got good use out of
these dresses, as they were
worn for Kendra and Sterling's
wedding. We just changed the
sash! i love the big bows in the
back!
Don't Jacob and Kelli look so very
thrilled with one another?
