Carys' turn with Papa and Grammy

Carys stayed after the Reunion to have some one-on-one time with Grammy, She also got to spend time with Ty, Isaac, Tiffany and cousin Caleb, Papa and Kylee. She loves to draw and watch Incredibles, Cinderella and Toy story. She brought home a new Princess sing-a-long book that Grammy gave to her. We sure had fun, but Grammy had to take her home on Monday, because she needed to go to her swimming lesson.

June Family Reunion

Here are the summer dresses that Cameron picked out for Grammy to make all the girls dresses with. She was absolute about it. I had fun making them while I watched some great Masterpiece Theater checked out from the Library. Hey, this picture was snapped before they all had to be bribed with candy necklaces.

Sorry Boys, Grammy did not make these matching shirts, but thought that Garanimals was appropriate for the active little boys.

June 21st was so cool (even though it was over 110 degrees outside) We called it our family reunion complete with picture taking, videos, games, food, homemade ice cream, watermelon and a speed walking race for those who wanted to participate.
Grandma Leslie and Ron were visiting as well, and we realized just how big our family is getting to be when we had everyone gather in the Kitchen-dining room to sing happy birthday to all those with June birthdays, there were people everywhere. What a great day we had. Grammy just had to have a photo shoot with all the grandkids, only they didn't want to cooperate. Tara warned me
that it is really hard to get that many kids to hold still and be happy at the same time. Grammy did not believe Tara. It was a pretty big fiasco. Don't know if we got any good pictures. At least Grammy is happy to see them all dressed in the new dresses she made and shirts she bought for the little boys. Pictures will be coming soon.

one on one

This past week I started a tradition with my grandchildren. I had Cameron who is the oldest grandchild of Todd and I come and stay with us by herself for a visit. Next it will be Carys' turn.
Then I will invite Breya, and as they get older the others will follow.
We had such a good time. We shopped together, went to the library, read story books, watched
DVD movies that Cam picked out, did crafts, made cards, played in a wading pool. Cameron did Artwork for me. (She loves to draw), but it was so fun to see her be creative in other ways. One of the highlights for me was taking her to Our local variety/hardware store where she picked out fabric for me to make matching dresses for all of the girl cousins at our family reunion on June 21.
She was so excited to get to pick it out. I will post pictures of the the little girls wearing the dresses
after our family reunion.

And While I was up North in Provo. . . .

I was lucky to have some great time with my best friend Linda Liddle while I was taking a break from waiting patiently for Tara to go into Labor. We got to be chaperones for a photo shoot at UVSC for her daughter Tia and friends who were invited to be on a brochure for high school students advertising "the great idea of becoming a student someday at UVSC." The photo shoot took place in a Men's bathroom in the student center. I know, it sounds bad, but it was all on the level.
Then Linda and I stole away together to enjoy dinner at Mimi's cafe. When we returned to her home, she realized she had not planted her beans yet that had been soaking all day. We rushed out to get the seeds in the ground. I plan to have some of those beans when they are ready. I don't know anyone who can fix fresh beans the way she can. Hence, the above pictures of Linda and I, in the garden. We had a blast trying to get in done before the sun went down.
